Last week was hectic! Both Michelle and Keipin came over to Melbourne from Adelaide and Perth respectively. I'm glad I got to see them but I seriously need to whine about this - Why did they choose to visit when I have two assignments and a group presentation due?? -sulks. Not their fault, I know, but you know me. I heart whining.

22nd April 2006 SATURDAY
Michelle arrived! Went to Dino's house for a slumber party. It was more of a girl's night out due to the absence of Dino in his own house. Go figure. And this was the night Keipin called to say he was in Melbourne and the moment I knew my assignments were screwed.

That's Michelle holding a pot of barley for Dino on the tram to his house. Embarassing, i know. [Pic stolen from Chrys]

26th April 2006 WEDNESDAY
Watched Undercover Hidden Dragon with William, Keipin + his girlfriend. - -" Trust me, the movie is as bad as the name. It was Keipin's idea, ok!! But there were laughs in the movie, it's not as horrible as the review said it was.

28th April 2006 FRIDAY
Chadstone with Michelle, Chrystella and Chrystella's friend, Lara(I think).

Went home to discover that Keipin was in the process of cooking dinner for us! It was more of a horror than surprise. I mean, is his cooking skills as bad as his lame jokes?? -shudders. But it turned out fine. Forgot to take pictures of food due to me being in shock over how nice the Bak Kut Teh tasted. A tad too much pepper but that's the way I like it! In the end, there was too much food (cabbage with fried shrimps and marinated curry drumsticks) that I had enough leftovers for two more dinners. - -"

Caught the late night show of Final Destination 3. Sad to say, being the scaredy cat I am, I closed my eyes through out half the movie. It was disgusting!! Now I have a phobia for rollercoasters and tanning bed thanks to the movie. For some reason, I can endure gory movies like Hostel, Saw and House of Wax but FD3 is too much for me! Don't ask me why. Nikki's mind is in a realm of it's own and is highly incomprehensible at times.

Went to Cafe L'incontro for drinks. Ended up staying there till 5am-ish before going to the arcade at Chinatown.

That's Keipin playing Ghost Squad with 2 guns. - -" Needless to say, he gave up one of the gun after 5 minutes.

And Keipin's girlfriend, 雪兒. At least that's how I assume her name is written.

Near the cafe is a florist. I was actually quite symphathetic for the old man who was working there. It was 3am-ish and the shop was still open. I felt so bad for him that I bought a orchids from him. - -" I know, I know. William thought I was mad and just wasting my money. But he looked so bored there. And he has to stay open till Sunday morning!! The orchids were quite nice. $8.50 for the bunch.

My mom would like it. ^^ My bluish-purple orchid...

29th April 2006 SATURDAY
Yum cha at Shark Fin House with William, Keipin + his girlfriend, Dino, Michelle and Chrystella. Last day to hang out before they leave. -sobs.

Me, Dino, Mich, Chrys, Keipin, his girlfriend (William the Cameraman behind the lens) [Pic stolen from Chrys]

And that was it. My adventures of the week! Back to the humdrum of assignments and classes and pretty soon exams. -sighs. Can't wait for the mid-semester break. Trying to get Keipin to vist Melbourne again then we can go up to Adelaide to visit Michelle, Kenny and Joein!

You know how some people say that they are going to bed earlier because they want to make up on lost sleep?

Well... Theoretically it's possible but I have come to the conclusion that it's actually impossible to do just that.

I slept and slept and slept for a total of 18 hours and what's the end result??

I'M STILL TIRED!!!

Dammit... I wasted the whole of ANZAC Day sleeping instead of going out and I'm still sleepy. -sighs. I guess it's time to go to bed again.

As you can see, this will be a FFXII post. The Japanese version (see above picture) has been out since March 2006 but even with my 2 months worth of Japanese language lesson, I still can't understand Japanese well enough to play the game. Sad, isn't it. /.\ Anyone who has played the Jap version is welcome to tell me about it. Or laugh in my face cuz I have to wait till August. Whichever that takes your fancy. Anyway, being a 'kiasu' person, I pre-ordered the English version (Which seems to have an uglier cover. Go see for yourself and compare.) and guess what I saw.

Final Fantasy XII Potion Premium Box.

100ml Energy Drink containing Royal Jelly and Herbs and Final Fantasy XII collectors cards. Drinks contains: grape extract, sugar, royal jelly, propolis, camomile, sage, tyme, hysop, marjoram, rosemary, basil, lemon herb (melissa), amino acid, caffeine, vitamin B6, B1, blue no. 1.

Sounds yummy. NOT! But you sure gotta hand it to SquarEnix's marketing team. Whoever that thought of this is either incredibly clever or has way too much time on his hand. There's even a commercial for it. Click HERE. (Taken from Lik Sang.)

Doesn't Ashe reminds you of Yuna from FFX & FFX-2? Especially the choker(circled in red).

And some gameplay pictures courtesy of Lik Sang. Actually, the above three pictures are also taken from Lik Sang.

Speaking of pre-ordering, guess what else I pre-ordered. -grins

Easter break, like any other days, was spent unproductively. 3 movies in a week. $29 gone to the Hoyts Charity Fund for Idiots Who Watched Too Many Movies. Actually, $29 is quite cheap for 3 movies so I really shouldn't be complaining.

Scary Movie 4
Hilarious, stupid, lame jokes, dirty jokes, what else do you expect from the Scary Movie franchise? Toshio is actually a cutie here!

Eight Below
One word: Huskies
All together now. Aaawwww...

The Hills Have Eyes
A decent remake (I actually have never watched the original). Just trying to sound clever. -smirks. Gruesome, gore+blood, had me on the edge of my sit at times. Nearing the end, it got a bit laughable though.

Seriously... Who thinks Jay Chou can act?

I, for one, find his acting absolutely craptacular. His acting stint in Initial D can be described in one word - dead. I am aware that in the anime, Takumi is quite emotionless. He doesn't show his feelings especially his anger. But the way Jay tried to potray the anime Takumi in the movie was just hopelessly horrendous.

Which brings me to the main point of this post. Go read this:
金像獎可公布得票的百分比

The above news article is in Chinese but basically it says Tony Leung Ka Fai won Best Actor for the movie Election, Zhou Xun won Best Actress for Perhaps Love blah blah blah AND...

Jay Chou won Best Newcomer for Initial D

= ="

What is the world coming to?????

Am I the only one who thinks he should stick to composing and singing?

I'm telling you, Hongkie guys are unbelievable.

I recently bought this PS2 game, Guilty Gear XX over Ebay from this Hongkie dude. If you tried Ebay-ing before, the whole process is quite simple. You bid, you win(assuming you don't lose), you pay, seller sends you item, you leave positive feedback, seller leaves positive feedback. End of story.

But this Hongkie guy... After everything was said and done, he actually asked for my MSN and proceed to ask me two very unsubtle questions.

"Why are you using a girl's nickname on Ebay?"

and

"If you're a girl, are you buying this game for your boyfriend?"

EH!!!!!!!!!! He thinks I'm a stranger to MMORPG games ar?!??!??? You're talking to a pro here!!! *

*Disclaimer: Not PRO pro anymore since I stopped playing my previous online game but my account is worth HKD$3000!

So back to my rant...

He thinks I never encountered this kind of "kau lui" techniques??

Sheesh...

So anyway, I told him I am a girl and I was buying it for myself. Which is true since I was the one who wanted the game, not William. We chatted briefly about movies, ask about one another's age, job blah blah and more nonsensical stuff. So I thought that was the end of it but noooooooo... He proceeded to 'Hi' or nudge me everytime I was online even when I'm ignoring him. It went to the point that he 'Hi'-ed me 10 over times a day till I felt so bad for ignoring him so I blocked him on my MSN. -sheepish grin

WHAT!!??!! I barely know this guy!! Better to let him think I'm an inactive MSN user then as the girl-who-is-too-lazy/bitchy(insert your own adjective here)-to-respond-to-a-friendly-'hi'.
